I made the snowflakes with the polygon tool, and the rounded rectangle tool. I then used the reflect tool to finish the arms. I used the rotate tool to make the other arms. The tutorial that I used had the URL http://www.vectordiary.com/illustrator/snowflakes-tutorial/. To make the ornaments, I first made circles of different colors. I then used the pen tool to make a shine. The shine was made with white at 50% opacity. I used the pathfinder to make the cap. I used the pen tool to make the hook and it's shine. I used the first two steps at http://www.ehow.com/how_4694523_create-vector-christmas-ornaments-illustrator.html.
I added the wreath from your folder. Then I used image trace with color. I proceeded to delete the background using the select tool. I positioned the wreath for typography to use for the O. In typography I simply kerned the letters that I thought were too close or too far apart.

good and bad logos
Good Logos
The
Apple logo is a good logo because it is very simple. The logo is also very
timeless. The logo also looks good in black and white, especially since the
logo is sometimes shown in black and white.
I
like the twitter logo because of its simplicity. The logo also fits, because
the company makes lots of tweets. The
Twitter logo has a more natural look. I like the curve that makes the tail of
the birds. The Logo also has a good shade of blue.
The Coca-Cola logo is a classic logo. The logo has a great
font, and is very simple. The text also gives you a happy feel. Coca-Cola is
also a good logo in black and white. The curls of the text also give a more fancy
feel.
Graphics Design Logos
This is a nice logo
because it has some meaning. This logo shows that the company comes up with
ideas. The house shows that the company is run in a home. The design is also
very simple. The design would probably look good at most sizes.
I think that this is a good logo. I like
the simplicity of the logo. I also think that the logo would be perfect for a
stand-alone. The logo has good colors. I do not think that this logo would look
good in black and white.
I think that this is
a bad logo. The color looks horrible, and the picture would be nothing without
the color. I also don’t like how they put the word “art inside of creative. I
also think that the picture is to complicated and that it won’t stretch well.Wednesday, October 30, 2013

halloween poster
I used color, or the lack of it to make the poster look more eerie. I used the contrast of the moon and the darkness to make it more scary. I repeated the gravestones and put them in proximity to make a graveyard, which adds more to the scary feel.

Water Pollution
I used color to give a dirty look. I used shape to emphasize some of the words. I positioned the first half of text at the top because that's where the eyes look first. I used C.R.A.P. design. I made the words dark, and the background light so that they would contrast and it would be easier to read. I repeated the specks to make the background look dirtier. I aligned the drop into the center because it is the subject.
