Brush Composition

                                                                                       Northern Lights Over Northern Canada
I used 22 layers. I first used the refined edge tool to select Legolas. Then I put Legolas in front of a green background. I added a forest image and made it transparent. I used a brush to add light above his head. I then used leaf brushes which I selected and then deleted, so that I could fill them with white. I finally brushed everything with white to make everything blend better.

Ipod ad

I used grunge brushes to create the blue in the background. I used a ray of light brush, with lowered transparency to add a change in the background. I used the refined edge tool to get the shape of the man. I then used a fill to make him into a silhouette. I used a thin white brush to make the Ipod cord.

the asylum(sillhouette)

The hardest technique was setting up the silhouettes with the channels. The easiest step was placing the texture on the room.

inner me

My shadow is Magikarp from Pokemon. I opened the sidewalk image in Photoshop. I then added in the other images. I used the rectangular marque tool combined with the magic wand to get rid of the background for my image. I put my image and the magikarp into the Sidewalk in different layers. I used ctrl+backspace to turn the shadow black, I then flipped the shadow. I used the warp tool to change the shadow, and then I used the brush tool to make the end of the shadow.

displacement map

shadow

I changed the foreground to black, and then deleted the other girl to make the shadow. I used opacity and blur to make it look more like a shadow. Finally I used a brush to attach the shadow to her.
