My Freshman Year
So far I have had a good freshman year. It has been harder than most school years
before. It has had many ups and downs, but mostly it’s been a fun year. I have had many
opportunities to grow and learn, academically and socially.
I have had many good classes and teachers. I enjoyed all of my classes, but my two
favorite classes were my two computer classes, PIT and Graphics Design. In PIT we learned
about computer programming, and computer maintenance. My favorite core class was Honors
World History, which was taught by Mrs. Wilson. She was great at making the history
interesting and fun, and always had a good story to tell about what we were learning.
Graphics Design was a fun class, but it took some work. My favorite part of the class was
when we worked with Photoshop, I felt that the program came easy to me, and I even helped
people that had already used the program before. My least favorite unit was the typography
unit.
My year had some hard work, and some classes could get boring. Drivers Ed. was an
important class, but I couldn’t wait until it ended. I also liked my biology teacher, but the class
could get tedious. I also would have a large amount of homework on Thursdays, so I usually
would have to stay up later.
Through my year I met some friends, and widened my social circle. I also learned many
things, and feel that my freshman year changed me for the better.

Scrapbook template
I used the quick selection tool to cut out the characters. I used the free transform tool to rotate the pieces of the scrapbook. I used the fill tool and marque selection tool to add the squares for photos. I used the hue and saturation tool to give the metal a rusted look.

Photo phrames
Tutorial 1http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-effects/halftone-pattern-photo-border/
I used the color halftone filter to add the dots. I also used the Gaussian to make them faded. I used a smart object, and set the blending mode to screen.

I loaded a texture, and used the texturizer to get the pieces in the picture. I used the pen tool to make the selections around the piece, and finally cut the pieces and pasted them.
